Upscale an Image to 8K When the Input Can Carry It

8K is about 7680 by 4320. It is a large grid. It is a poor place to hide a tiny, blurry original, because every invented pore is now eight thousand pixels wide in spirit if not in honesty.

Mode

The only ratios that are real

8× is the largest mode, and it is Studio only, four credits, $29 a month, 500 credits, no rollover, batch of forty, 40 MB, input long edge 8,192. An input of about 960 pixels on the long edge becomes about 7680 at 8×. An input of 1920 becomes 4× territory for 8K, and 4× is available on Pro as well, two credits, without waiting for Studio. An input of 400 pixels does not become a defensible 8K picture at 8×. It becomes a large guess. We will run the mode. You should not ship the file.

Studio's input cap of 8,192 means a file that is already past 8K on the long edge cannot be uploaded to be made larger still. That is a reasonable stop. If you already have 8K, you do not have an 8K problem. You may have a blur or noise problem, and those modes do not require the 8× button. Guest uploads stop far earlier, at 2,000 px, and their downloads stop at 3,200 px. There is no guest path to an 8K download.

Imgupscaler.ai’s marketing has targeted 16K. Their prices were not readable in the server HTML on the day we looked, and we will not invent a comparison price. A 16K claim is also a different number from 8K. If a delivery spec says 8K, 16K is not the spec. If a file cannot support 8K, neither number will save it.

Spend four credits only after a smaller pass

Run 2× on the free tool first. If hair, brick, or a letter goes wrong there, 8× will spend four credits to be more wrong. If 2× is quiet and the only gap is size, 4× may already pass 7680 when the input is large enough, and it costs two credits on Pro. 8× is the remainder: a small input, a large spec, and a slider you are willing to reject.

The failure mode is invented detail that looks like detail. At 8K a weave, a iris, and a window mullion can all be plausible and new. Compare against the original at a crop, not against a full-screen view. A failed job returns the four credits. A successful invention does not, and the subscription is not refunded if you cancel afterward. Cancel anytime. The period you paid for continues, then the account returns to Free plan.

Download the master the day you make it. Uploads and results are deleted after 24 hours on Studio exactly as on the free tool. Free pages show ads. Pro and Studio are ad-free. The public API can fetch the file during the same 24 hours. After that the object is gone. The 8K file belongs on your disk.

A last look before four credits

8K is about 7680 on the long edge. 8× from a 960-pixel input approaches it and invents the most. 4× from a 1920-pixel input also approaches it and costs two credits on Pro, which is the better buy when the input is already that large. Under roughly 700 pixels, decline the spec or find another original. Studio will run 8× anyway. You should not ship the result if the 2× test already grew a new eye.

There is no guest path to an 8K download, and there is no 16K mode to match a competitor’s title. ImgUpscaler.ai has used 16K in a title. Their price was not in the HTML we fetched, and 16K is not 8K. The API can fetch the master during the same 24 hours, then the sweep deletes it. Download it the day you make it. Twenty-four hours later the object is deleted, on Studio the same as on the free tool.

What to keep beside the slider

7680 is the ask. Studio's 8× and 8,192 px input cap are what make it possible, and only from an input that can carry it. Around 960 pixels needs 8× and four credits. Around 1920 may only need 4× on Pro. Under that, the result is a large guess. There is no guest download of an 8K file. There is no 16K mode to echo a competitor’s title. Pass a 2× test. If hair or a letter goes wrong there, do not buy the larger error. Download the master the same day. We do not keep an API open for tomorrow, and the sweep deletes the upload and the result after 24 hours on Studio exactly as on the free plan.

The decision you can defend

7680 is the count, and 8× is four credits on Studio. A 1920-wide file may only need 4× on Pro. Pass the 2× test first. There is no guest 8K download and no 16K mode. Download the master the day you make it. The sweep does not save it for a later export.

Three steps on this file

  1. 01

    Check the input edge

Around 960 px needs 8× to approach 7680. Around 1920 px may only need 4×. Under that, reconsider the spec.

  2. 02

    Pass a 2× test

If the small enlarge invents, do not buy the large one.

  3. 03

Download the Studio file the same day

Four credits if it succeeds. The object is deleted after 24 hours.

Settings that matter here

  • 8× is four credits, not one.
  • Pro's 4,096 input cap cannot feed an 8× that starts from an already-large file. Studio can.
  • Denoise first when the small file is noisy.
  • Posters can look fine at 150 ppi and may not need 8K at all.

Where this shows up

A booth photo for a large print

The frame is tiny and the wall is large. 8× is the candidate after 2× still looks like the sitter.

A spec that says 8K

Do the division. If 4× already clears 7680, stay on Pro and skip Studio.

Limits and formats

JPEG, PNG, WebP, and AVIF decode on the server. HEIC from a phone needs to be exported to JPEG first. The preview is not watermarked. Guest and Free plan downloads are capped at 3,200 px on the long edge. Pro and Studio download the full file. Nothing on this site is an ad.

Questions worth asking first

Is 8K on the free plan?

No. The free download is 3,200 px. 8× is Studio only.

What does 8× cost?

Four credits. A failure returns them.

How long do you keep the upload?

Uploads and results are deleted 24 hours after the job is created.

Can I cancel?

Yes. Subscriptions cancel anytime and are not refunded. The plan lasts until the period you already paid, then the account returns to Free plan.

Are there ads on this page?

Free pages show ads. Pro and Studio are ad-free. The upload card does not contain an ad.

Do you offer 16K?

No. Studio's input long edge stops at 8,192 px, and 8× is the largest scale.
