Upscale a Logo Only If You Cannot Find the Vector
A logo is a decision made of curves and straight lines. A photographic upscaler has learned skin and leaves. It will soften a mark while it tries to help.

Logo
Find the vector before you upload the pixels
If the brand still has an SVG, an AI file, or a PDF, use that. No model will beat an outline that can be scaled without samples. This page is for the case where the only surviving file is a small PNG from an old email, a favicon, or a scan of a letterhead. Say that out loud. You are reconstructing a picture of a logo, not the logo.
Nearest-neighbor enlargement keeps the stair steps and makes them obvious. A photo model tries to turn the stairs into curves and often adds a fringe, a wobbly stem, or a filled counter. For a one-color mark, a careful manual redraw in a vector tool is slower and more honest. For a one-off slide where the mark is an inch wide, 2× on a clean PNG may be enough if you inspect the edges.
Do not run face restore on a mascot. The mode wants a human face and will pull a character toward one. Do not colorize a one-color mark to ‘restore’ it. Do not denoise a flat color. Denoise expects speckle and will sand the flat field into blotches. The mode for a clean small PNG is 2×, or nothing.
PNG, JPEG, and the fringe
PNG is the container that did not add JPEG blocks. If the logo was saved as a low-quality JPEG, you have blocks in the white and a fringe on the edge already. Denoise may soften the blocks and smear the edge. Sometimes the honest file is the jagged PNG you can still find in a repo. Read the JPEG page if the blocks are the whole problem.
Transparency matters. We decode PNG, and the result is a WebP prediction. A mark that depended on a clean alpha may come back with a halo against a new background. Place the result on both white and black before you accept it. If a fringe appears on one of them, keep the small PNG and let the layout scale it, ugly stairs and all. Stairs are more honest than a fringe.
Type inside a wordmark is the blurry-text problem in a stricter form. A changed letter is a different brand. Read every character at 100 percent. If the wordmark is the asset, redraw it. 4× and 8× spend more credits to be more confidently wrong. Pro's 4× is not a favor here.
Practical limits for a mark
Guest and Free plan downloads stop at 3,200 px. A logo that needs to be a foot wide at 300 ppi wants more than that and also wants a vector, not our WebP. If you are feeding a website header, 3,200 is already lavish. Do not buy Studio to make a favicon into a billboard.
Commercial use is allowed on every plan when you have the rights to the mark. Rights in a logo are often stricter than rights in a snapshot. Our license to process the file for 24 hours is not a trademark license. You still have to be allowed to use the mark. We delete the upload and the result after 24 hours either way.
Free pages show ads. A failed decode returns the credit. A finished fringe you dislike does not. The API can run 2× on a batch of marks under the plan’s batch limit, and it will not emit SVG. HEIC is irrelevant and still not decoded. JPEG, PNG, WebP, and AVIF are the formats.
A worked frame
The only file in the old email is a 240 px PNG of a wordmark on a transparent background. Search the brand folder for an SVG before you spend anything. If it is truly gone, 2× makes 480 px, which is a slide and not a sign. Place the result on white and on black. A fringe that appears on one of them means the alpha was guessed. Keep the 240 px PNG and let the layout scale the stairs. Read every letter. A closed counter on an e is a different wordmark. Do not denoise the flat color, do not face-restore a mascot hiding in the mark, and do not colorize a one-color logo. 4× and 8× spend more money to be more confidently wrong. The free plan’s 3200 px cap is not the limit that matters. The vector you do not have is the limit. Commercial use still requires that you are allowed to use the mark. Our 24-hour processing license is not a trademark license. We delete the PNG either way. If the fringe is the only problem and the letters survived, a one-inch use on a slide is still a reasonable WebP. A storefront sign is not. Redraw it.
Three steps on this file
01
Look for the vector
SVG, PDF, or a source file ends the job before it starts.
02
If you only have pixels, try 2× once
Inspect counters, stems, and the alpha on white and on black.
03
Redraw if a letter moved
A larger wrong wordmark is not a restoration.
Settings that matter here
- Flat color plus denoise becomes blotchy. Skip denoise.
- A JPEG fringe is already damage. Find a PNG if one exists.
- Do not face-restore a mascot.
- Stairs can be more honest than a wobbly curve.
Where this shows up
An old email signature
The PNG is 180 px wide. 2× makes a slide. It does not make a sign.
A scanned letterhead
The scan is a photograph of ink. Treat it as a scan, not as the brand system.
Limits and formats
JPEG, PNG, WebP, and AVIF decode on the server. HEIC from a phone needs to be exported to JPEG first. The preview is not watermarked. Guest and Free plan downloads are capped at 3,200 px on the long edge. Pro and Studio download the full file. Nothing on this site is an ad.

Questions worth asking first
Can I try this without an account?
Yes. Guests get 3 credits a day. 2×, denoise, and unblur cost one. Colorize costs two. 4× and face restore start on Pro. 8× is Studio.
Will you give me an SVG?
No. The result is a WebP. A vector has to be drawn or found.
Is the preview watermarked?
No. Guest and Free plan downloads are capped at 3,200 px on the long edge. Pro and Studio download the full file.
What if the job fails?
The credit is returned. A failed job is not charged. A finished file you dislike does not return the credit or the subscription fee.
How long do you keep the upload?
Uploads and results are deleted 24 hours after the job is created.
Can I use the result commercially?
Yes, on every plan, including the free tool, when you have the rights to process the file.
